Data: How Domestic Airlines in India Performed in 2017
The Government of India released today the data related to the performance of various domestic airlines.
According to the Government, traffic data submitted by the domestic airlines has been analyzed for the month of May, 2017.
It shows that the passengers carried by domestic airlines during January-May, 2017 were 465.87 lakhs as against 396.04 lakhs during the corresponding period of previous year thereby registering a growth of 17.63%.

The passenger load factor in the month of May 2017 has shown increasing trend compared to previous month primarily due to beginning of tourist season.
The data also shows that the overall cancellation rate of scheduled domestic airlines for the month of May 2017 has been 0.33%.
During this period, a total of 716 passenger related complaints were received by the scheduled domestic airlines. The number of complaints per 10,000 passengers carried for the month of May 2017 has been around 0.70.
