Finally Electoral College Elects Donald Trump as U.S. President

Despite multiple campaigns to convince the Electoral College electors to vote against the President-elect Donald Trump, the electors confirmed Trump presidency in the vote that took place Monday.
Trump had won the November 8 election after defeating his rival Hillary Clinton.

The U.S. election process officially concluded Monday when the 538 Electoral College electors were supposed to cast their ballots. Trump needed a minimum of 270 electoral votes to become the President.
The Inauguration Day ceremony will take place on January 20, 2017 when Trump is scheduled to begin his four-year term as President.
