Kim Kardashian Gets into Charmin Restrooms

Kim Kardashian joined the Procter & Gamble Charmin brand, New York residents, and a crowd of excited holiday shoppers on Tuesday to officially open the fifth consecutive year of the Charmin Restrooms.

A gift to the City of New York, the Restrooms will offer a free, clean and family-friendly place to “enjoy the go” during this busy holiday shopping season.

“Who knows shopping better than Kim Kardashian?  With the recent opening of her DASH store in SoHo and the filming of her show around the New York City, Charmin wanted to welcome Kim to the Big Apple by presenting her with a key to the Restrooms for the 2010 holiday shopping season,” said Jacques Hagopian, brand manager Charmin, which is a toilet paper brand.

Following a drum line procession through Times Square and the official Restrooms ribbon cutting, the brand revealed the semi-finalists in the Charmin Go Nation challenge.

These individuals will now compete in a series of potty-themed activities to prove themselves throne-worthy and collect the $50,000 royal stipend. The final competition is slated to take place Dec. 28 live from the Restrooms.

This year’s Charmin Restrooms feature comfortable lounge areas along with special features such as an oversized toilet photo-op, potty dance stage, giant smartphone-inspired video display and a social media kiosk area.
