As the President-elect Donald Trump is getting ready for the inauguration ceremony scheduled to take place on January 20, former Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein has other plans for the event.
Stein, who has been spearheading a massive campaign to highlight the flaws in the U.S. election system, has planned an event under the banner ‘Inaugurate the Resistance’ to oppose Trump’s presidency.
On Day 1 of the new administration, she is inviting Americans to join her and others in Washington DC to discuss, as she says, how the 99% can defeat the coming wave of right wing attacks from Trump.

Stein suggests that Trump’s pro-billionaire agenda and plans to wage war on the environment, deport three million immigrants, undermine public sector unions, and nominate a reactionary Supreme Court justice are not just idle threats.
Yet, she says, the neoliberal leaders of the Democratic Party cannot stop Trump now, anymore than during the election.

“How can we build powerful mass movements capable of decisively defeating the right and providing a real alternative for ordinary working people, immigrants, LGBTQ people and youth? Can the Democratic Party be reformed, or does the left need to build independently?” Stein asked.

Earlier, Stein also said that she and her supporters do not consent to Donald Trump’s regime of hate, fear, and corruption.
“In 2017, let’s occupy, resist, and build power against the right-wing extremists, bigots, and blowhards,” Stein said in her message.
She asked people of America to help her kick off the resistance in January at Occupy Inauguration campaign to disrupt the Inauguration Day ceremony of Trump.
“We will oppose oligarchy with democracy. And we will build an unstoppable movement whose time has come, to put people, planet, and peace over profit,” Stein said.
She believes that Trump’s election was not fair, as the U.S. voting system is totally flawed.
Among a slew of activities to block Trump presidency, she has approached the U.S. Department of Justice through her attorney demanding a probe in the election process.
Stein’s attorney has written a letter to the Attorney General Loretta Lynch, asking for an investigation into the integrity of the U.S. election system generally, and the voting machines specifically.
