Why Is Jawaharlal Nehru Not Allowing Modi to Work Properly?
Since Modi and BJP – with the help of dishonest Indian media outlets – are hell-bent to spread falsehood in order to win the Lok Sabha election by hook or by crook, they are targeting Nehru.

The first Prime Minister of India Jawaharlal Nehru had officially died more than 50 years ago – on 27 May 1964. But the current Prime Minister (PM) of India Narendra Modi and his party BJP assert that Nehru is regularly interfering in their work and not allowing Modi to deliver his services properly.
If Modi is not able to check rampant corruption, BJP says Nehru is responsible for it. If extreme unemployment is in India under Modi’s rule, BJP says it is all because of Nehru. If Kashmir is burning under Modi government, it is Nehru’s fault. If terrorism is increasing in India, BJP believes Nehru is spreading it.
The UN Security Council (UNSC) decreed Wednesday that Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) chief Masood Azhar is not a terrorist. While China blocked the UNSC move to declare Masood Azhar a terrorist, BJP said categorically it is all Nehru’s conspiracy.
Ravi Shankar Prasad – the law minister in Modi government – openly claimed that China wouldn’t be in UNSC had Nehru (who is the great-grandfather of Congress president Rahul Gandhi) not gifted it to China at India’s cost.
Prasad told a news conference on Thursday that Congress MP Shashi Tharoor had said in his book, Nehru: The Invention of India, that India’s first Prime Minister Nehru had offered the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) seat to China.
While most ministers in Modi government – including Modi – are not quite educated, they behave like boors. Ravi Shankar Prasad who blamed Nehru for China’s seat in UNSC does not know that India or Nehru cannot decide about the permanent seat in UNSC which decided about Masood Azhar on Wednesday.

The UN Security Council was created following World War II to address the failings of a previous international organization, the League of Nations, in maintaining world peace.
The Security Council consists of 15 members. The great powers that were the victors of World War II—the Soviet Union (now represented by Russia), the United Kingdom, France, China, and the United States—serve as the 5 permanent members of UN Security Council.

Since India was not part of this group, India cannot become a permanent member of UNSC. Similarly, India cannot recommend China’s name for permanent membership in the UNSC.
The permanent members can veto any Security Council resolution, like China did in the case of Masood Azhar. The Security Council also has 10 non-permanent members, elected on a regional basis to serve two-year terms. These 10 are ordinary members who cannot participate in the crucial decision-making process of UN Security Council. So, BJP minister Ravi Shankar Prasad was simply lying about UNSC issue and Nehru.
