LG Ones to Watch Concert Series in Phase II
LG Mobile announced Tuesday it will continue a partnership with House of Blues Entertainment to showcase a second phase of the “LG Ones to Watch” campaign.
The program, which launched in May, uses a series of intimate concerts to bring fans together with their favorite bands and mobile technology. “LG Ones to Watch” blends the latest emerging talent, including six new acts lined up for the second phase, with the newest LG mobile devices.
“The program’s successful ability to excite and engage fans through music and technology reaffirms LG’s commitment to supporting innovation, talent and fresh perspectives,” said Carl Brown, director of Trade Marketing for LG Mobile. “We are excited to take the program one step further by engaging fans with call-to-action initiatives like LG ecoMobilization, which promotes e-recycling.”
As part of the second phase, “LG Ones to Watch” will be supporting LG ecoMobilization, a mobile phone recycling initiative that aims to reduce the amount of discarded e-waste which ends up in landfills each year.
Concert attendees at designated STS9 shows are encouraged to bring all used mobile phones and/or handheld devices with them for on-site recycling donations.
For each eligible device recycled, LG Mobile will donate $2 to Rock Against Cancer. The non-profit organization aims to support the emotional needs of young cancer patients with music therapy and innovative music, and was chosen as the charity of choice by “LG Ones to Watch” musical group STS9 who are avid supporters.
