NATO Reacts to North Korea’s Ballistic Missile Launch
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg today reacted sharply over North Korea’s ballistic missile launch. “I strongly condemn the launch by North Korea of two ballistic missiles,” he said in a statement issued by NATO today.
According to reports, South Korea revealed that North Korea (a.k.a. DPRK) has test-fired two mid-range ballistic missiles from its eastern coast.
“These repeated provocative actions by DPRK undermine international security and dialogue,” Stoltenberg said.

The launches, according to NATO, are in direct violation of several United Nations Security Council Resolutions, including Resolution 2270 adopted on 2 March this year, which repeatedly call for North Korea to cease all activities related to its ballistic missile programme.
NATO continues to call on North Korea to fully comply with its obligations under international law, not to threaten with or conduct any launches using ballistic missile technology and to refrain from any further provocative actions, NATO said in its statement.
