Modi to Indians: Hey, Now Your Money Is My Money
You can soon expect Modi to announce in his address to the nation that your money deposited in banks is actually his money. You will not be able to take back your money.

You can’t stop India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi if he wants to live in a fool’s paradise. His demonetization decision of November 8 has reportedly claimed over 100 innocent lives, hundreds of thousands have lost their livelihood, and millions are constantly waiting in endless bank queues.
Still Modi maintains that demonetization is good for you. Strange. Modi said Saturday that his demonetization scheme has been successful in weakening the hands of terrorists and those in fake currency rackets. How? He did not tell.
Without realizing the fact that poor in all parts of the country are dying because demonetization has deprived them of their own cash, Modi said his government is working tirelessly for the welfare of the poor.
[ Do Indians Really Support Modi’s Demonetization Move? ]
In a country where nearly 90% of people are illiterate and more than half of the population lives in extreme poverty, Modi encouraged them to use e-banking and e-wallets. Height of foolishness!
He said India wants progress and for that, the evils of corruption and black money must end. However, during the past one month since he announced about demonetization, Modi could never explain how demonetization is linked with corruption or black money.
Ineffective Parliament
Although there has been a tumultuous opposition to Modi’s decision and 15 opposition parties observed ‘Black Day’ in Parliament on Thursday to raise their voice against demonetization, Modi has refused to budge.
Plus, it appears that the opposition leaders are totally confused. They have not been able to spell out their demand clearly. Modi’s demonetization has already done the damage. Then what is the objective of the perpetual protests in Parliament?
Opposition parties know that people of India have to tolerate Modi’s idiosyncrasies till 2019 when the next Lok Sabha election is expected to take place. The political system in India is so weak that at this stage it cannot help citizens get rid of such authoritarian diktats. So, any form of protest will not deter Modi who may be planning his next move now to harass the people of India.
[ No Democracy in India. It Is Parliamentary Dictatorship. ]
Tomorrow, Modi can easily announce in his address to the nation that your money deposited in banks is actually his money. He will say this decision has been taken by his government for the welfare of the poor, as he has said about demonetization. People will not be able to take back their money because this is Modi’s decision which cannot be challenged. Or, can you?
