President Trump Isn’t Against Science; Supports NASA Scientists
Although it is largely believed that President Donald Trump doesn’t believe in science, he has shown that he has great love for science and scientists.
Trump signed Tuesday the NASA Transition Authorization Act of 2017. NASA acting Administrator Robert Lightfoot thanked Trump for his act of kindness.
“We would like to thank President Trump for his support of the agency in signing the National Aeronautics and Space Administration Transition Authorization Act of 2017,” Lightfoot said in a statement issued Tuesday.
Trump added that with this legislation, his Administration supports NASA’s scientists, engineers, and astronauts in their pursuit of discovery.

Further, Lightfoot also expressed NASA’s gratitude to a bipartisan Congress for its consideration of the agency’s path forward.
“Our workforce has proven time and again that it can meet any challenge, and the continuing support for NASA ensures our nation’s space program will remain the world’s leader in pioneering new frontiers in exploration, innovation, and scientific achievement,” said Lightfoot.
