BJP Workers Protest Against Corruption in Delhi Government
The Delhi unit of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) held a demonstration on Wednesday near Delhi Vidhansabha complex against the Arvind Kejriwal government.
The protest, according to BJP, was against the biased attitude of the Kejriwal government towards the 3 Municipal Corporations and rampant corruption in various Delhi government departments.
Prominent amongst those present in the demonstration were MP Meenakshi Lekhi, MLA Om Prakash Sharma, and others.
Many of them addressed the demonstrators. According to BJP, the Delhi Police used water cannons to disperse the demonstrators around Metcalf House near Vidhansabha and later arrested senior leaders including MLA Om Prakash.

Addressing the demonstrators, Delhi BJP General Secretary Ravinder Gupta said that corruption in government work in Delhi is rampant. PWD, Health, Transport, Food & Supply you have to name the department and each and every office has its own stories of corruption.
He challenged chief minister (CM) Kejriwal to stand up in the Vidhansabha and issue a statement on stories under circulation in media of corruption in his regime.
Member elect of the Standing Committee of North MCD Jai Prakash condemned Kejriwal for disgracing the mandate of the people of Delhi who chose BJP to serve them through the civic bodies.

MLA O.P. Sharma said Kejriwal government has left behind the predecessor Congress government in both corruption and nepotism. He demanded immediate release of municipal funds as per the IV Delhi Finance Commission recommendations already accepted by the Delhi Assembly last year.
Delhi BJP General Secretary Rajesh Bhatia condemned the biased approach of the Kejriwal government towards the 3 Municipal Corporations and said the denial of funds to the civic bodies by the government is politically motivated to defame the civic bodies administered by BJP.

Drawing attention to reports of Kejriwal government appointed school coordinators acting like fixers to get weak students of Delhi government schools to next classes, the Delhi BJP’s media incharge Praveen Shankar said that it is a shameful revelation that corruption has seeped down to school administration level in Delhi government.
He said it seems the claims made by deputy CM Manish Sisodia of good academic results in government schools are based on such manipulated promotions.
