Delhi BJP today started its campaign for Bawana Assembly bye-poll with the inauguration of 2 public contact offices and workers’ meeting.
North-West Delhi MP Dr. Udit Raj and leader of the party in Assembly Vijender Gupta inaugurated the public contact offices at Bawana Chowk and Prahladpur Village of the BJP candidate Ved Prakash, who had resigned from Aam Aadmi Party (AA) of Arvind Kejriwal a few months ago and joined BJP.
The Election Commission of India has decided to use Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and VVPATs in all polling stations for the bye-elections of State Legislative Assemblies including NCT of Delhi.

The Commission has taken this decision despite the fact that the major political parties have repeatedly complained about the vulnerability of EVMs.
It is largely believed that when EVMs malfunction, they vote only in favor of Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi’s BJP which runs with Lotus election symbol. So, once again BJP candidate Ved Prakash is expected to win in Delhi bye-poll, which is scheduled to take place on August 23.
While BJP has repeatedly dismissed opposition parties’ apprehensions about the EVMs, Vijendra Gupta said that Ved Prakash is a symbol of resentment amongst the people especially the youth of Bawana and rural Delhi against Kejriwal Government’s deceit on development promises.

He said people will ensure Ved Prakash’s victory. “BJP’s win in this election will prove to be last nail in Aam Aadmi Party’s political coffin. Congress too stands nowhere in the electoral contest being a symbol corruption,” BJP stated.
