Rahul Gandhi Reveals How PM Modi Failed to Create Jobs
Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi – who is on a 2-week tour to the U.S. – has stated that despite his election campaign promises, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has failed miserably to create jobs in India.
Rahul Gandhi was addressing a group of students at the University of California in Berkeley on Monday. He spoke about the harsh realities in India and the way forward for the country which claims to be the largest democracy in the world.
Gandhi made 12 references to the word “jobs” and stressed that the central challenge for India is jobs, which Modi and his government have failed to provide.

“No amount of growth is enough for India if it’s not accompanied by the creation of jobs. It doesn’t matter how fast you grow. If you are not creating jobs, you are not actually solving the problem,” Gandhi said.

“Roughly 12 million young people, 12 million, enter the Indian job market every year. Nearly 90% of them have a high school education or less. India is a democratic country and unlike China, it has to create jobs in a democratic environment,” he added.
Currently, he further said, we are not producing enough jobs. Over 30,000 new youngsters are joining the job market every single day and yet the Modi government is creating only 500 jobs a day. “And this doesn’t include the massive pool of already unemployed youngsters,” Gandhi said.

In the Modi regime, jobs in the key eight sectors of manufacturing, trade, construction, education, health, IT , transport, and restaurant went down considerably.
Modi had promised before the 2014 Lok Sabha election that he would create 20 million jobs every year. But instead of getting jobs, people are losing jobs as unemployment is increasing like a dreaded disease in India.
