Nikki Haley Meets Prime Minister Narendra Modi

The U.S. Permanent Representative to the United Nations Nikki Haley called on India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday in Delhi.
According to an Indian government statement, Ambassador Haley conveyed greetings from President Trump. Modi requested her to convey his best wishes to President Trump and warmly recalled their earlier meetings and interactions.
Ambassador Haley noted the deepening relations between India and the US particularly in strategic and defence sectors. Both of them discussed ways to enhance India-US cooperation including on counter-terrorism and in multilateral fora.

They expressed confidence that strong India-US partnership will continue to be an important factor for global peace and prosperity.
PM expressed appreciation for President Trump’s South Asia and Indo-Pacific strategies and commended his initiative for denuclearization of Korean Peninsula.
