The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) headed by Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi has started a motorcycle rally in New Delhi to highlight the achievements of Modi government during the past 4 years.
The rally is part of a nation-wide campaign that BJP has recently launched under the slogan Saaf Niyat Sahi Vikas (clean intention, right development).
It comes close on the heels of opposition parties’ aggressive campaigns that inform the voters about the failures of Modi government.
The Communist Party of India (Marxist) or CPIM, for example, has released 4 booklets which describe 4 years of “Narendra Modi government’s misrule and ‘why it has to end’.”
The event was attended by CPIM General Secretary Sitaram Yechury and Polit Bureau member Brinda Karat. They asserted that Modi government is robbing the poor and facilitating the booty for the rich. Simultaneously, they added, it is also a government that spreads lies and true lies.
Earlier, last week, the youth wing of Congress party Indian Youth Congress held a massive protest under the banner “भारत बचाओ जन आंदोलन,” in Delhi. The protest was supposed to be against the anti-people policies of the Modi government.

While BJP is celebrating 4 years of Modi government, opposition parties believe that the government has failed on all fronts, as Indians are facing umpteen problems such as joblessness, dwindling economy, worsening foreign relations, human rights violations, extreme poverty, and so on.
