Bob Evans Says Think Outside the Pizza Box
With nearly 8.4 million students enrolled in after school activities in the U.S. this year, families are constantly on the go with little time to prepare a wholesome family meal, believes restaurants chain Bob Evans Farms. So, for this back-to-school season, the company is offering a solution.
‘Bob Evans Family Meals To Go’ are a selection of carry-out meals with portions designed to provide convenient and delicious meal solutions large enough to feed a hungry family of four, it says.

Busy moms can conveniently order over the phone on the way home from work or even online and carry out dinner for the entire family that tastes like homemade and is a nutritious alternative to pizza or fast food, claims the company.
“Today’s family operates at a much faster pace and while made-from-scratch dinners used to be a top priority, they’ve taken a back seat to more realistic and convenient dinner ideas,” says Bob Evans executive development chef David Eisel.
“Our Family Meals To Go were specifically designed so families wouldn’t have to compromise between the two. Guests can let us handle the timely preparation and carry the taste of our Farm-Fresh Goodness right from our kitchen to their table.”
With ten complete meals priced at less than $20, Bob Evans Family Meals To Go offer more balanced meal options at less than the cost per person of the average fast food value meal or large pizza, the company says.
With this in mind, Bob Evans Restaurants across the country are encouraging families to “think outside the pizza box” as they look for alternative dinner solutions.
It is offering $2 off a Family Meal of choice to any guest who brings in a pizza coupon.
Bob Evans Farms, Inc. owns and operates full-service restaurants under the Bob Evans and Mimi’s Cafe brand names.
