Democratic nominee in the 2016 U.S. presidential race Hillary Clinton – who had defeated Donald Trump in popular vote – has urged the voters to vote in the 2018 midterm elections and defeat those who brought corruption into the Oval Office – with a subtle reference to Republicans.
“The elections two weeks from today are our chance to put a check on an administration that has undermined the rule of law, brought corruption into the Oval Office, attacked immigrants, and vilified journalists,” Clinton tweeted today.
Although Trump had received majority of the 538 state-by-state electoral votes to win the presidency, Clinton won 48.2% of the popular vote compared with 46.1% for Trump.

In other words, Clinton had received nearly 3 million more votes than what Trump got in the November 2016 election. But the U.S. election system declared Trump as the winner and he became the president.
Despite his alleged links with Russia and demands for his impeachment, Trump is expected to complete his four-year term. He also has declared emphatically that he will win again in 2020 to continue his presidency until 2024.
Conjectures are also rife that Hillary might run for president again in 2020, considering the fact that actually she had won the last election in terms of number of votes polled.

Now she is campaigning for the midterm elections that are scheduled to be held on November 6, 2018. These elections will be contested for all the 435 seats in the House of Representatives and 33 of the 100 seats in the Senate. Moreover, the elections will also be held for 39 state and territorial governorships among other local elections.
