How Aam Aadmi Party Makes Money to Play Politics
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) – a political group in India – is now collecting money for its political activities through a new fund-raising campaign: #IFundHonestParty Challenge.
Launched by AAP leader, Arvind Kejriwal, on Friday, January 2, the party said Monday it has received good response from supporters and has also attracted new donors to the party.
The #IFundHonestParty Challenge is a donor-get-donor program appealing to donors to make a donation and invite at least 10 of their friends and family members to also donate. It also asks them to promote the challenge on their social media pages.
While the first phase of the campaign targets the common voters, in the second phase AAP will invite its top brass to join the challenge. It will include all its national and state executive officers and the candidates who will contest elections under AAP.

“We want to increase our participation, invitation and referral network by 10 times in the second phase,” said Pankaj Gupta, national secretary of AAP. This campaign has the potential to reach 100,000 participants which would lead to about a million people getting to know of the campaign.”
