Job Board for the Mobile Marketing Industry
At a time when mobile markets world over are going through a rough patch, MMA (Mobile Marketing Association) has announced the launch of a new industry job board.
The aim is to provide recruiters with some support for hiring talent in the mobile marketing industry. Developed in partnership with SmartBrief, a leading publisher of targeted business news and information, the MMA SmartBrief Job Board will be delivered each weekday morning to more than 13,000 mobile marketing professionals across North America, 60% of whom are senior executives.
Recruiting and developing talent is a challenge in the competitive mobile marketing industry, which is estimated to grow significantly in the next five years, believes MMA.
Meanwhile, close on the heels of announcing its cost-cutting measures and decision to lay off employees, mobile industry leader Nokia has said that multiple factors are negatively impacting its business. (Read: Troubled Nokia Lowers its Market Outlook)
Recently, Nokia announced its plans to reduce its global workforce by about 4,000 employees by the end of 2012, with the majority of reductions in Denmark, Finland and the UK. (Read: Nokia to Lay Off 4,000 Workers to Cut Costs)
