Kamala Harris Pledges to Remove Trump from the White House
Democratic Senator Kamala Harris officially announced Monday she is running for president in 2020. If elected she will become America’s second Black president and the first woman to hold the office. “I’m running for president. Let’s do this together,” she tweeted.
Referring to President Trump’s unstable administration and countless criminal investigations on Trump, Harris, 54, said that there is a leadership crisis in the White House.
“We’re facing a leadership crisis in the White House. From referring to white supremacists as ‘very fine people’ to putting children in cages, to sabotaging our country’s health care, we know America can be better than this — but it’s on us to build it,” Harris exhorted, indicating that she can defeat Trump.

She informed that her campaign will not take any money from corporate PACs (Political Action Committees) and it will be funded by ordinary Americans. “We don’t have to accept a system that drowns out your voice,” she said.
In order to kick off the campaign, Harris will hold her first rally in Oakland on Sunday, January 27.
