“I hope, like me, you fall in love with making handmade gifts…It’s always those gifts we make and give with all our heart that, in return, are a blessing to our souls.”
Marie Osmond learned to sew from her mother, beginning when she was preschool age.
“Growing up in a family of singers, our home was always filled with music. However, one of the most comforting sounds that defined my childhood was the hum of the sewing machine,” she recalls.
Marie’s love of sewing has continued throughout her life and she has, in turn, taught her own children the joy of sewing and crafting.
As a co-host of a national (U.S.) television variety show, Marie Osmond drew viewers to the Donny and Marie Show in the 1970s. She is a major fashion trendsetter known for designer dolls and home-decor and fashion products.
Her previous two books, “Behind the Smile” (Warner Books, 2001) and “Might As Well Laugh About It Now” (Penguin Group, 2009), were both New York Times best sellers, informed Martingale & Company today, Sept. 28.
Martingale & Company is an independent publishing company known for how-to quilting and craft books. Quilting books are published under the company’s imprint That Patchwork Place.
