Nutri Ventures Animated Series for Public Schools

In an agreement between the Partnership for a Healthier America (PHA) and an animated series, the action-packed, adventure-fueled Nutri Ventures: The Quest For The 7 Kingdoms will be made available for free to all U.S. public school systems in a commitment announced Friday.

Nearly 60,000 elementary schools nationwide will have free access to 29 episodes from Nutri Ventures’ first three seasons, along with more than 200 additional pieces of educational material produced by Nutri Ventures Corp. Nutri Ventures characters will also be available to public school systems to help promote education.

“Nutrition and obesity are among the most urgent concerns for parents, educators and for children themselves,” said Rui Lima Miranda, co-founder and managing partner of Nutri Ventures Corp., and producer of Nutri Ventures: The Quest For The 7 Kingdoms. “We are very proud to enter into a long-term relationship with the Partnership for a Healthier America.”

The program, which made its U.S. debut in January exclusively on Hulu Kids, has already become one of the most popular children’s series on that digital-television platform, says the company.

Lawrence Soler, CEO of Partnership for a Healthier America, added, “Nutri Ventures is an important partner for PHA because it brings key health messages to kids in a way that is engaging and authentic.”

Under the agreement, Nutri Ventures Corp. will also donate to PHA a percentage of net profits from sales of licensed products in the U.S., which will help PHA strengthen and expand its nutrition-education programs.

In addition to the partnership announced Friday with PHA, Nutri Ventures Corp. works with ministries of education and health institutions in more than 25 countries internationally, as well as with the World Health Organization, which helps make Nutri Ventures episodes available to education systems around the world.

Eleven episodes are available for free, with additional episodes available to consumers on Hulu Plus.
