Role of TV News for Latino Vote in U.S. Elections
Maria Elena Salinas, Univision Network’s co-host of “Noticiero Univision” and “Aqui y Ahora,” will be the mid-morning featured guest in a one-on-one interview during a special keynote session at the Hispanic Television Summit on September 20 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in Times Square, New York City.
Among the topics that Salinas (pictured above) will address is the critical role network television news will play in the Latino vote for the 2012 presidential elections.
An award-winning journalist, Salinas has co-anchored the “Noticiero Univision” evening news with Jorge Ramos for 25 years. Additionally, she hosts Univision’s “Aqui y Ahora” news magazine program every Tuesday at 10:00 p.m. ET.

The Summit is presented annually by two leading TV trade publications, Broadcasting & Cable and Multichannel News. It has become the signature full-day event for those in the business of TV and video intended for Hispanic audiences.
