Russia Taking Steps to Handle Situation in Syria and North Korea
President of Russia Vladimir Putin held a meeting Friday with permanent members of the Security Council.
The participants exchanged views on the continuing cessation of hostilities in Syria and the increasing tensions over North Korea.
They also continued discussions on measures to stabilise the oil market in Russia and through work with partners abroad.

Taking part in the meeting were Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko, Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Sergei Ivanov, Secretary of the Security Council Nikolai Patrushev, and Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev.
The participants also included Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu, Director of the Federal Security Service Alexander Bortnikov, Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service Mikhail Fradkov, Deputy Secretary of the Security Council Rashid Nurgaliyev and permanent member of the Security Council Boris Gryzlov.
