Swaraj India Launches ‘Jawab Do, Hisab Do’ Campaign in Delhi
Now, voters of Delhi are feeling cheated by Kejriwal and his Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). In an ongoing RMN Poll given below, a whopping 78% people say they are not satisfied with Kejriwal’s AAP government in Delhi.

As the current administrative dispensation in Delhi has completely failed to address the increasing problems of the locals, a new political outfit Swaraj India has launched a campaign to fix accountability of government officials.
Launched under the banner ‘Jawab Do, Hisab Do,’ the month-long accountability campaign was flagged off Sunday by Swaraj India national president Yogendra Yadav.
An official communique of the party stated that Delhi has three levels of government – the Centre, the State, and the Municipal Corporations – but it is a pity that all three have abandoned the national capital and abdicated their responsibility.
In fact, according to Swaraj India, none of these governments is genuinely interested in working on the real issues that concern the public. The party says the citizens of Delhi are shouting slogans of ‘Teen Sarakar, Teeno Bekaar‘ (all three levels of the administration are useless).
Misgovernance in Delhi
Today, in fact, Delhi is crying like an abandoned child. Its parents – lieutenant governor and chief minister Arvind Kejriwal – have completely neglected it. As a result, Delhi has become a virtual hell for more than 20 million people who live in it.
For example, today Delhi is the most polluted and perhaps the dirtiest city in the world. But Delhi government has not made any attempt to get the city cleaned. Plus, the people do not get drinking water in homes and electricity supply is erratic.
Similarly, the education standard in Delhi is in a deplorable state. But Kejriwal and others in his government have been telling blatant lies about the quality of school education which has actually gone from bad to worse.
And the office of the lieutenant governor is simply tossing files from one desk to another without doing anything meaningful to improve the standard of education.

Although Kejriwal won the election with the promise to weed out corruption from Delhi, the truth is that corruption is so rampant in almost every street of Delhi that Kejriwal and Delhi government have failed to check it.
Worse, Kejriwal’s own government is facing serious corruption charges. Last year, the lieutenant governor Najeeb Jung had set up an expert committee – called the Shunglu Committee – to examine over 400 files for financial and administrative irregularities committed by Kejriwal’s government.
While the Shunglu Committee had submitted its report in November last year, it is stated that the report has found serious cases of fraud, cheating, and misappropriation of funds in the Kejriwal’s Delhi government.

Jawab Do, Hisab Do
Seeing the defiant attitude of all the three levels of governments in Delhi, Swaraj India says it has launched the ‘Jawab Do, Hisab Do‘ campaign.
In this month-long campaign, the party says, the common man of Delhi will demand accountability and answers from the governments and their representatives.
The party has planned to cover 10 lakh (1 million) households of the national capital Delhi. The team of party volunteers will establish a dialogue and connect with the common people in Delhi.

The campaign aims to understand their core issues and work towards addressing them in a positive and meaningful way, said the party.
The campaign – which aims to analyze the real issues in a scientific data-based manner – will culminate on 12th February at the historic Ramleela Maidan (a protest site), where the party will present the real state of affairs of Delhi.
Swaraj India also will announce there its Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) election program, as MCD election is expected to take place this year.
