The Fighter Goes Digital to Enter Your Home
Nominated for seven Academy Awards including the Best Picture: The Fighter is debuting in a two-disc Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack with Digital Copy, on standard DVD and on VOD March 15, 2011 from Paramount Home Entertainment.
Directed by Academy Award nominee David O. Russell (Three Kings), The Fighter has received seven Academy Award nominations including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Supporting Actor (Christian Bale), Best Supporting Actress (Melissa Leo and Amy Adams), Best Original Screenplay and Best Editing.
The film tells the story of working-class pugilist “Irish” Micky Ward (Wahlberg) and his against-all-odds triumph in the ring that united his fractured family and brought pride to his blue-collar hometown.

Golden Globe and SAG winner and Oscar nominee Melissa Leo (Frozen River) gives a knockout performance as Ward’s mother and Oscar nominee Amy Adams (Doubt) stars as his girlfriend and future wife, Charlene.
