The Nightworld Comes Alive in Social Mobile Game

Glu Mobile, a leading global developer and publisher of social mobile games for smartphone and tablet devices, and Full Fathom Five have announced the joint launch of The Nightworld App and eBook.

The Nightworld App takes players to the furthest reaches of their imaginations, delivering the brilliance and grit of Blaine’s literary images with the sharp graphics and engaging gameplay, says the company.

The Nightworld novel, written by author Jack Blaine of Full Fathom Five, brings to life the story of an apocalyptic future world where sunlight is nothing but a memory. The Nightworld is one of the first Social Mobile games to offer a storyline fully developed through an accompanying novel, according to Glu Mobile.

“James Frey and the team at Full Fathom Five represent a commitment to changing the status quo – a commitment that aligns well with Glu’s continued work to transcend the way the world thinks about mobile gaming,” said Niccolo de Masi, CEO of Glu. “The Nightworld breaks new ground and represents the beginning of a new age in both publishing and social mobile game development.”

“It’s wonderful to see The Nightworld come alive in Glu’s interactive 3D game,” said Frey. “Last summer, Full Fathom Five partnered in the first-ever audio book that included a soundtrack, and now our partnership with Glu opens up more innovative ways for content that starts as a book to become so much more.”

The Nightworld App and novel are available for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch on the Apple App Store and iBooks Store at  http://itunes.apple.com/app/the-nightworld/id446014572?ls=1&mt=8.

The Nightworld App challenges players to survive as one of the last humans in an apocalyptic wasteland where resources are scarce and only the stealthy survive. The cold, lonely traps and betrayals of The Nightworld will see only the most cunning of players complete missions and collect resources in order to survive.
