Transparency International’s flagship research product, the Corruption Perceptions Index is a leading global indicator of public-sector corruption, offering an annual snapshot of the relative degree of corruption.

According to Transparency International, the index for 2018 ranks 180 countries and territories drawing on 13 expert assessments and surveys of business people. Additional analysis of the 2018 results explores the relationship between corruption and the global crisis in democracy.
