Who Made the Earrings of Catherine Middleton?
Robinson Pelham Jewellers said today that Miss Catherine Middleton is wearing a pair of hand made diamond earrings, which they have designed especially for her marriage to Prince William of Wales.
The earrings were commissioned by Miss Middleton’s parents, Michael and Carole Middleton, and have been given to their daughter as a wedding present.
They are diamond set stylised oak leaves with a pear shaped diamond set drop and a pave set diamond acorn suspended in the centre.
Inspiration for the design comes from the family’s new coat of arms, which includes acorns and oak leaves and the earrings were made to echo the tiara.
Meanwhile, Kate Middleton joins the ranks of Princess Grace of Monaco and Queen Rania of Jordan as one of the most beautiful royals in history, according to a survey. Miss Middleton came in third in the poll, beating the late Diana, Princess of Wales who followed in fourth place. (Read: Kate or Diana: Who’s More Beautiful?)
